Diamer Educational Foundation Brings Clean Water to Nanga Parbat Region: The Diamer Educational Foundation has made a significant impact on the lives of people living near Nanga Parbat by providing them with access to clean water reservoirs. This initiative is a major step towards improving the health and well-being of the local communities.
Nanga Parbat, also known as the “Killer Mountain,” is one of the highest mountains in the world. The region surrounding it is remote and underdeveloped, with limited access to basic amenities like clean water. The Diamer Educational Foundation recognized the urgent need for clean water in this area and took the initiative to address this issue.
The foundation has constructed several clean water reservoirs in the Nanga Parbat region. These reservoirs will provide a reliable source of clean water for the local communities, helping to prevent waterborne diseases and improve overall health. The project is also expected to have a positive impact on the environment by reducing the need for people to travel long distances to fetch water.
DEF tries to ease the life of the villager by giving them clean water through the fresh water spring rather than the villger moving up and down 500m down to the river to fetch water for their familly. The level of fatigue and different problems may cause by the regular action of carrying heavy water gallons up to their home from the river.
Diamer Educational Foundation has successfully provided access to clean drinking water to 1000 households of Buner Valley. the whole valley covered in different phases with the help of German Embassy Islamabad, and Reinhold Messner’s Mountain Foundation, and other European Fraternity, Clean water projects were a success.
